Church Table

Volunteer scheduling and team coordination for churches, on iPhone and the web.

Church Table schedules volunteers, plans services, and keeps every ministry team in sync. It's built for the volunteer coordinator at a small or mid-size church, who needs a tool they can learn without a tutorial and run from a phone. Rather than replacing the systems a church already uses, it syncs from Rock RMS, so adopting it doesn't mean migrating records. It's the core of a small product suite that also includes Lectern and Atlas.

Lectern

An AI-assisted sermon writing app, with a council of theologians that reviews your draft.

Lectern is a writing space for preachers. It combines a sermon editor, a Bible reader with every major translation, and the Atlas timeline embedded beneath the draft. Its central feature is the Council: AI reviewers in the voices of theologians the preacher chooses, such as Augustine, Wesley, or Spurgeon, who read the draft and respond on the page. Present mode times each delivery and learns the preacher's real speaking rate, so length estimates improve every week.

Atlas

An interactive timeline of biblical history, from creation to the apostolic era.

Atlas lays people, nations, bloodlines, and prophecies side by side, so readers can see what was happening at the same time across Scripture. Clicking any entry opens the verse text, nearby events, and a map. Where scholars disagree on dates, readers can switch between chronologies instead of being shown false certainty. It's free, needs no account, and embeds inside Lectern as a writing aid.

Eldermyr

A free online multiplayer RPG, built and operated solo, playable in the browser and on iPhone.

A persistent shared world where every player fights the same war. The server is the single source of truth for the realm, which keeps the shared state consistent and makes cheating impractical. One account carries across the browser and the iPhone app. The work spans the whole product: game design, the engine and netcode, the player economy, onboarding, and the ongoing operation of a live service.

Baby Logs

Shared newborn tracking (feeding, sleep, diapers, growth) for a whole household.

An iPhone app for the blurry first months. Parents log feeds, sleep, diapers, tummy time, baths, and growth, and every entry syncs across everyone caring for the baby. Live timers sit on the Lock Screen, nap predictions learn the baby's real rhythm, and a day review turns a chaotic night into something you can read back. It supports multiple babies and collects no data.

IronSharp

Small groups read a daily passage, answer two reflection questions, and pray together, so the habit survives the days between meetings. It started as a no-code prototype that proved the idea, and is now being rebuilt as a real mobile app. The name comes from Proverbs 27:17.

Selah

Four features and nothing else. Read any of the 66 books in a clean serif layout with highlights, inline notes, and offline chapter caching. Track shareable reading plans day by day. Keep prayer lists that reset daily or weekly on their own. Build memorization decks straight from the reader. Local-first, so it works with no connection and no account.

Tidewater

A camera app that identifies sea life (shells, crabs, jellies, mystery blobs) and returns a structured field-guide entry: common and scientific name, rarity, conservation status, and a touch-safety rating telling you whether the thing in front of you is safe to pick up. Identification runs on Claude Opus 4.8 vision. Every find is saved to a gamified local field journal.

03About

How I got here.

I got into software at twelve by trying to make a video game. I spent the next several years rebuilding Pac-Man and Pong before graduating to sprawling RuneScape knock-offs. I never really stopped; the games just turned into products.

Today I'm a product manager at Barefoot Solutions, running up to six client products at once with budgets from $50K to $1M. Much of it is in regulated industries: Compass AI, our self-hosted AI platform; a fintech platform taken through FINRA approval; and a Class II medical device taken through FDA 510(k) clearance. I'm the number clients dial when something goes wrong.

Outside of work, I build and ship my own products. Church Table and Lectern are live, and I've made every call on them myself: positioning, pricing, onboarding, and how Lectern uses AI. Owning products end to end keeps me honest about what a roadmap really costs and what users actually do.

I've watched teams fall apart because nobody set the culture. It gets set by whoever is leading, deliberately or by default, so I set it deliberately: clear ownership, tight feedback loops, and a team that likes the work and each other. That kind of team keeps its people, raises problems early, and builds what users actually need.

The titles I care about most are husband, father, and teacher. The hours left over go to bespoke leatherworking.
